This recipe for one of my ultimate favorite desserts is both healthy and delicious! When creating this unique formula, I was so surprised by the tiny amount of sweetener needed to make this pie an absolute delight. Whip this paleo pie up for a winter/fall holiday or any special occasion when you want a quick and healthy dessert! Ingredients: Vanilla Batter: 2 Cups Cream Cheese 2 Eggs 1 Tbsp Vanilla Extract 3 Tbsp Honey Cherry Batter: 2 Cups Cream Cheese 2 Eggs 2 Tbsp Honey 1\2 Cup Berry Sauce 1\2 Cup Frozen Cherries {Mashed} Berry Sauce: 1 Cup Frozen Mixed Berries 1 1\2 Cup Frozen Cherries 2 Tbsp Water 2 Tbsp Arrowroot Flour Crust: 1 1\2 Cup Almond Flour 1 Egg Directions: 1. Mix together the vanilla batter, cherry batter and crust ingredients in separate bowls 2. Heat all the berry sauce ingredients (except arrowroot) in a sauce pan stirring frequently on medium heat until it turns into a sauce 3. Add 3/4 of the berry sauce into the cherry batter, then add the arrowroot into the remaining sauce and heat on medium heat until it thickens 4. Grease a 9-inch cake pan with oil (I use coconut) and press the crust into the bottom 5. Layer the 2 batters on top of the crust and bake at 350f degrees for 35-40 until the top is crispy! | |
